Dumbledore’s grave
A small, pine-covered island on Loch Eilt used to create the atmospheric setting of Dumbledore’s White Tomb in the later Harry Potter films. There is no real grave or tomb on the island, and wider shots were digitally combined with the landscape of Loch Arkaig.
The island can be viewed from the roadside. For a better view, you will need to walk through muddy terrain.
The distant view is free and has no opening hours.
There is no dedicated visitor car park, but a small roadside pull-in near the viewpoint can hold a few vehicles.
The island can be seen without a long walk, but this is an undeveloped roadside viewpoint with uneven ground and passing traffic rather than an accessible visitor facility.
There are no toilets, shelter, food or visitor facilities at the viewpoint. Plan any stop as part of a wider Road to the Isles journey.
