Hogwarts landscapes
Glen Coe and the surrounding mountains supplied dramatic Hogwarts scenery across several Harry Potter films. Temporary sets were built in parts of the glen but no structures survive; the National Trust for Scotland visitor centre is the safest practical gateway for exploring the wider landscape.

The coordinates lead to Glencoe Visitor Centre beside the A82, not to a surviving film set. From here you can learn about the landscape and choose a waymarked walk appropriate to the weather and your experience.
Scottish Citylink and Ember coaches on routes between Glasgow, Edinburgh and Fort William stop near the visitor-centre entrance. Take care crossing the A82 from the bus stop.
A traffic-free Greenway also links the centre with Glencoe village and extends east into the glen. Do not wander onto private land searching for removed sets.
The National Nature Reserve is free to explore. The visitor centre and exhibition are free, while the car park charges non-members and has its own opening arrangements.
The visitor centre has paid parking, four accessible bays and a passenger drop-off point. Spaces can be busy and overnight parking is not permitted; large motorhomes and vehicles towing caravans may need to use suitable signed alternatives.
The visitor centre, café, shop, exhibition and nearby mountain viewpoint have step-free access. A short 250-metre waymarked trail is suitable for most wheelchairs and pushchairs, while longer reserve paths become rough, steep and muddy.
The visitor centre provides toilets, accessible toilets, a café, shop, exhibition, picnic tables and visitor information. Facilities elsewhere in the glen are sparse.
