Hogsmeade Station
This preserved station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway became Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Its stone buildings, footbridge and rural platform remain recognisable, and heritage trains still call here during the railway's operating season.

The most atmospheric arrival is by North Yorkshire Moors Railway service from Pickering or Grosmont. Heritage trains are seasonal and ticketed, so check the timetable before travelling.
Goathland can also be reached by road from the A169 between Pickering and Whitby, and seasonal public bus services stop in the village.
The station is downhill from the village centre. Allow extra time for the climb back and for busy trains during school holidays and special events.
Seeing the station from public areas is free, while travelling on the heritage railway requires a ticket. Platform, shop and tearoom access follows the railway's seasonal operating timetable.
Goathland Station has a paid car park with accessible bays, but spaces are limited and can fill on busy days. A separate village car park is another option; never obstruct the narrow village roads.
The station provides accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible toilets. The railway can accommodate wheelchair users on service trains, but asks passengers to advise the team when booking so boarding support can be arranged.
Goathland Station has toilets, a tearoom, picnic area and gift shop when open. Additional cafés, pubs and shops are a short uphill walk away in the village.
